David Toms

Fourth at St Andrews in 2000 when Tiger won, Toms hasn’t been as close since. Won his lone Major the following year, taking the 2001 USPGA Championship at the Atlanta Athletic Club with a score of 265 - the lowest 72-hole score recorded in a major championship.

This year he was eighth in the Mercedes-Benz, eighth at the FBR Open thanks to four rounds in the 60s, ninth at the Masters and third at the Stanford St. Jude Championship. An impressive fifth at Oakmont, just five behind winner Angel Cabrera.

Consistently ranking in the world’s top ten and has 12 US Tour wins to his name, but seems to struggle in Britain.
