European Rookie of the Year in 2000, Poulter has seven European Tour titles to his name, including a Volvo Masters in 2004. Is splitting his time between Europe and America at the moment, but has not really hit the heights this season.

Finished ninth at the Buick Invitational and was 13th at the Masters. Best finish of the year was at the Byron Nelson Championship where he was third. Opening round 72 helped him to make the cut at Oakmont but finished 32nd and never threatened the leaderboard.

Looked better back in Europe for the Scottish Open and finished four shots off the lead in eighth after four consistent days. Outsider.
