A great effort in the US Open reminded everyone that Niclas can be a class act at the highest level. Has had good seasons in both 2005 and 2006, winning twice on the European Tour in both years and finishing thirteenth and fifteenth on the Order of Merit. Titles won last year were both in Spain, the Andalucia Open de Espana Valle Romano and the Mallorca Classic, to take his victory total to five.

After a bad year in 1999 when he tried to play in America AND Europe, switched back to Europe and enjoyed his best year in 2001 where he finished tenth on the Order of Merit, helped largely by finishing runner-up to David Duval in The Open at Lytham.

Made Ryder Cup debut in Europe’s 2002 win at The Belfry. In and out this year, but that final round 70 and fourth place finish at Oakmont, and second behind Colin Montgomerie at the K Club, shows that he could be an attractive contender.
