Has 31 PGA Tour titles to his name after winning the Players Championship at Sawgrass in May. Two Green Jackets from Masters triumphs in 2004 and 2006 and a USPGA win in 2005 at Balustrol maybe point to a player who excels in American conditions.

Interestingly, missed cut in US Open was his first in a Major since Carnoustie in 1999. His Oakmont flop could be excused due to the course and a wrist injury but there were no excuses for his final hole double-bogey collapse in the 2006 US Open at Winged Foot. Looked more settled in early season, but it all points to a certain fragility at the moment.
