Zach was born in Iowa.. but seems to have a strong affinity for for the Southern state of Georgia. Won the Bellsouth Classic in Atlanta in 2004 and then repeated that triumph in the same tournament (now named the AT&T Classic) in May. Before second Atlanta win, shot to prominence when he won the Masters at Augusta in April, making three birdies in a four-hole stretch on the back nine to win his first major.

Closed with a cool 3-under 69 for a two-shot victory over Tiger Woods, Retief Goosen and Rory Sabbatini.

Four solid rounds at Oakmont. Could be viewed as an American specialist but Masters success was in cold and windy conditions. Missed cut latest in the John Deere Classic and form is perhaps fading.
